The GEO Metro XFI needed a new clutch. While I had the thing torn apart I wanted to put new break drums and CV joints in the thing. I took a hint from Ricks Metro project and put Half Synthetic Transmission Fluid and half Synthetic Grease in the passenger side CV joints.

Two interesting things. Grease is just Soap and Lubricant, but when I added the synthetic transmission oil (75-90) to the grease, some of the grease melted like wax. This is the funny / scary part, my eyes started to burn a bit. Much less than if you were cutting onions, but I felt something. I'm going to see how hot the CV joint gets when I get the car back on the road. If I feel comfortable with the results I'll do the other drivers side.
The car is about 10 pounds lighter for all the motor oil I removed from the Transmission, engine and suspension.
